Hydropower Development
From conducting comprehensive feasibility assessments and detailed feasibility studies, including geotechnical drilling, we are paving the way in hydropower development.

We've made considerable strides in hydroelectric power, with projects spanning several districts across Papua New Guinea, including Alotau, Kabwun, Naeweb, Namatanai, Telefomin, Kandrian and Ialibu. These investments are testament to Bismarck Energy’s vision to make hydro power the preferred mode of electricity generation in all C Centers of Papua New Guinea.

While operating Tolukuma Gold mine’s hydro systems pursuant to a contract, Bismarck Energy successfully negotiated and signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tolukuma Gold Limited to invest in and construct additional hydro capacity for the mine. This achievement is the first for a Papua New Guinean owned and operated energy company.
Geothermal Development Investments

Recovered Energy Generation Investments
We're experts in conducting in-depth feasibility studies for hydropower development and other renewable energy projects. We've also established successful engagements with industry giants such as ExxonMobil, utilizing their waste heat at their PNG LNG plant for recovered energy generation.

Our innovative approach to converting waste to energy will be evidenced at the PNG LNG plant, whereby ExxonMobil, the operator of PNG LNG, has agreed for us to install our Recovered Energy Generation (REG) facility post commissioning of Pynang LNG Project. REG installation is a turn-key project by Ormat, a global leader in REG technology and is listed in the New York Stock Exchange. Bismarck Energy has signed pertinent agreements with Ormat to implement the project.
